Hyperbaric Chamber
How does the Hyperbaric Chamber work?
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy involves inhaling pure oxygen in a pressurised environment. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a well-established treatment and works by increasing the oxygenation in the body’s tissues, increasing blood flow and circulation, boosting white blood cell counts which helps the body fight off infection, and triggers collagen growth which leads to increased healing.
In a hyperbaric oxygen therapy chamber, the air pressure is increased two to three times higher than normal air pressure. Under these conditions, your lungs can gather much more oxygen than would be possible breathing pure oxygen at normal air pressure.
